Squash Racism

 

Frogs and toads are a racist symbol in Portugal; people put statues of them in shops and bars to discourage Roma people from entering. The image of a squashed toad symbolises resistance to this behaviour.  

(I found the unfortunate critter by the side of the road – no animals were harmed in the making of the poster!)
